4/26/14 Transferred to rescue in NJ. Commanche came in as a stray. He is a handsome guy and strong as a horse. He is very personable and loving to all that meet him. He loves to play ball and would be a wonderful exercise buddy. Yes, he is a strong guy, but with the Thunder Leash he was easily walked and would be a piece of cake to teach proper leash walking skills since he is very smart. He has become URGENT so please consider meeting him at the shelter today! Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
