5/7/14: Transferred to Salfid Rescue.
Chantilly came in as a stray. She is a darling girl who is scared right now at the shelter. She is trying to get used to the loud noises and strange people she doesn't know coming in and out and some even trying to ask her to leave her kennel to go for a walk. Maybe it's the hormones because she also happens to be pregnant. We would love to get a foster home for her when her hold time is up. Better yet, adopted. Please come to the shelter to meet this precious pup.
Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
