Fourteen week old DAGDA is looking for a home! He and his littermates are “wide-open” and social, and are going to be on the XL side of the adult spectrum. While they are fine with other dogs, we will not consider homes where there are cats because they have already demonstrated high prey drive, and there’s no need to set anyone up for failure. A fenced yard is preferred, experience with large, driven breeds is preferred, and families with children over the age of five are recommended. Breed mix is retriever/husky/shepherd/pyrenees? Start with an application found here: Friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We are looking for homes with families who don’t mind sharp nails and sharp puppy teeth, who are willing to work with positive reinforcement training methods to redirect inappropriate puppy biting during the upcoming months of teething. If you have other dogs in your household, we ask that they be spayed and neutered, and current with vaccines. Adoption fee $300. At this time we are considering adopters who are local to our area of Campbell County, or counties adjacent to Campbell, to make it easier for us to follow up on spay and neuter requirements. Please start with an application which you can find on our website: friendsofcampbellcounty.org. (From a previous litter from the same parents, we have discovered these puppies can climb fences, and do have high prey drive. Please consider those traits if you are considering adoption. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
