Chihuahua (long coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Chihuahua.
HEIDI came to us as a stray, but it seems as though she knew she needed us to take care of the multiple medical issues she suffered. We discovered upon the initial examination that she had mammary tumors, and we know how important it is to have those removed before they spread further. Her surgery revealed they were bigger than we thought, and surgery was rather involved. The tumors were removed, and Heidi was spayed. Hernias were repaired as well, and her cherry eye was also tucked in and stitched. She is sure happy to be back at the foster home she shares with other small dogs and is fitting in so nicely! If your home has only adults, or there are gentle, considerate children over the age of twelve, we'd love to consider you for adoption. HEIDI appears to be about four years old. She is hand shy and she is definitely unsure around men, which possibly means she was never socialized around men or boys, and knows women best. She is a snuggle-bum and will be happiest sharing your bed!
