From his foster mom: "This big fella is about four months old, and we are told he is a malamute/lab mix. He is polite with other dogs, having lived with many as he was going through puppyhood, and he has great social skills with them. He also had the advantage of living with an eight-year-old child, so knows all about playtime with kids. At the present time he is scared/unsure of cats. I assume he may not know what they are, or he does know what they are and respects their authority.
I have found him to be an amazing puppy. He is adapting to his crate and can hold himself all night until potty time in the morning. That is quite an amazing feat for such a young pup. He is gentle to be so young. Again, I am assuming it is from being allowed to stay with his pack until an appropriate age to be separated.
He likes his puppy playtime, but adores being with his human. He wants to be where you are at all times and if made to be separated can show his displeasure by a soulful wail in true Malamute style. "
