Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Medium
Erin has been in our care for over two months. We took her in as an emaciated, depressed looking dog and you should see her now! We were contacted by someone who recognizes this girl. They remember that she had been chained to a tree and had litter after litter after litter of puppies. That makes her journey into our care even more special, because it shows what a great thing love and tenderness -- and food!-- can do for a dog. Erin has not been spayed, and our vet recommended against spaying, because she is riddled with small mammary tumors and needs her strength to fight the cancer in her body. Right now, you'd never know she once had a mammary tumor as big as a baseball, (we had it removed) because she is healthy looking, has gained weight, and has the energy of a younger dog with no issues. We cannot predict what the future holds for her, but we are doing all we can for her now! Life is good, when you are ERIN! Erin loves playtime with other dogs. She tolerates cats, but the cats need to be dog-savvy and the human needs to supervise closely so she doesn't get too rough. You can apply at: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
