Our bio has evolved a great deal since HOTDOG has oozed his way into our hearts.  If he was a human, he'd be Andy from Mayberry--everyone's best friend, a confidante, a neighbor to lean on.  HOTDOG is the Andy Griffith of the animal shelter world. Laid back, mellow, concerned with the welfare of others, gentle with cats, kids, and understanding of authority... yes, he is kind, fair, and upholder of all that is good! His days of supervising the parking lot of the Altavista Walmart are behind him--he was good at his job, but he is ready for more! He's the one to call on if there is a shy dog needing confidence.
