Tink is extremely shy and timid. She needs a very patient adopter that will be willing to work with her and help socialize her with other dogs and people. She is spayed, microchipped, current with all vaccines and had a dental cleaning. She is not housetrained, but will use pee pads. Tinkerbelle arrived in our care several months ago from a household with too many Pomeranians. She was adopted, but returned to us recently. Here is what her current foster caregiver tells us:

"Tink doesn't want anyone to touch her, and she looks surprised when you talk sweet to her.  She's even more afraid to go outside, and she pulls to get back in.  She's not even close to being house broken, and she's been so nervous she's vomited up a couple of meals.  I've started fixing her rice and chicken, and giving her just a small amount at a time in her kennel.  So far, so good.  Her eyes seem to be doing fine, and she doesn't rub or scratch them.  She likes to be where I am, but doesn't want me to notice her.  She does come running when I rattle the treats bag, and every now and then she will let me pet her "willingly", but when I had to pick her up this  afternoon to get her out of the kennel she was shaking like a leaf.

Whoever adopts her will need to understand this little girl has a huge trust issue, and won't be a companion for probably several months after going home.  I think she doesn't even trust her instincts, and she's been hurt so many times that she just doesn't give her trust easily.  She may never be a sit next to you on the couch kind of dog, and I think that's what most people see when they see her.  She's beautiful, and she's sweet, she just needs lots of patience and gentle treatment."   TINKERBELLE will need a companion animal to help her transition to truly happy and calm. She is a follower, and the other dog or cat will need to be a leader for Tinkerbelle's sake.
