SASHA is a magnificent spayed and front-declawed girl who was given up to the shelter for litter box problems. Our hearts break for cats who are surrendered for this reason, because so many times the problem can be fixed. Declawed cats may have residual problems with pain in their feet caused by the declawing, which in actuality involves removing one of the bones of the toes. Cats with litter box issues may be acting out because the litter is a problem, or the box is not right, or there may be a urinary tract issue. It's so hard to judge--but we will say, while she has been at the shelter for five days, there have been NO issues with SASHA using the litter box. She likes scoopable and is using it faithfully. Please consider this lovely lady if you want to save a life! Our process begins with an application, found on our website: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
