Black Labrador Retriever (medium coat) : : Male : : Adult : : X-Large
Handsome and happy Blackstone was given up by his family. We have fudged his name just a bit and gone from "Blackie" to a more sophisticated "Blackstone," because we felt he needed a new start in life. Blackstone is a very BIG boy who has lots of love to share with a new family. He will not be suitable for farm living because he likes chickens too much and wants to eat them (that's why he was surrendered to the county pound!) Blackstone is charming when he is with dog-savvy people, and he absolutely loves to walk on a leash. His biggest fan, a volunteer who adores him, has been on vacation for several days, so Blackstone has not gotten to get out and walk as much as he would like. He is about 2 years old, weighs in the neighborhood of 80 pounds, and wants a home! Did you know that big, black dogs are the hardest dogs to adopt out? Sad, but true. For more information on adoption, please call us at 434.821-4416.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
