Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Large
LIlly and her brother Dualloy were surrendered to the county facility when their family's household insurance carrier changed and insurance no longer covered them. Here is what Lilly Pad's mom says about her: "She is charming, curious like a monkey, lovable, loves to eat candy! She would be a wonderful prospect for being trained as a service dog, because she is both observant and perceptive about humans and their emotions. She likes to take care of others, and is great with other dogs or by herself. She can be feisty, and sometimes she plays a little rough. She "moans," groans, growls, and barks when she plays, but she is not at all aggressive. She just likes to talk to you, to tell you all about it. She loves having something good to chew on. She can be territorial over her toys! She has a soft mouth, and will take treats and food gently from your hand. She is housetrained, crate trained, leash walks nicely. She listens very well to her humans." She has been raised with cats and other dogs.
Lilly Pad is about 80 pounds, and just over a year old. Her human family has done a fabulous job of socializing and training her to be a good citizen.
