Simon was signed over by his family to the county facility on October 11. He is considered URGENT because there is no required holding time for dogs given up by their owners. Simon weighs about 38 pounds and is between 7 and 10 months old. He has never had a collar or leash on before, so is learning to tolerate and enjoy the benefits of both those items. He is tolerant of other dogs, and when we asked him to share a kennel run with another dog his own size and temperament to help with space issues, he agreed. He came to us with either a sister or mother or friend, Lucy the Lab, who has a litter of puppies. To adopt, contact the facility at 434.821-4416.
