About Rosie: adopted

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 200.00
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
Rosie came from a sad beginning but has made the transition to happiness, thanks to the care of the family who rescued her from a hospital stay where she was recuperating. She has had surgery from complications from her traumatic past: Rosie had been stabbed in the forehead and then was tossed into a dumpster in the Richmond area. Rosie is about 8 pound,s and 7 months old. She is housetrained and crate trained, and in fact is very secure and happy when she is crated. Her family says she adores being outside where she stalks squirrels, first "pointing" them followed by actual chasing. She has never caught one, or she would probably not know what to do with it! She is fine with cats and interested in other dogs! She would be a wonderful family pet for kids older than five or six, but because of her activity level and curiousity, a fenced in yard is required for Rosie's adoption. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. Information can be obtained by email, ccac.adopt@yahoo.com, or by calling one of our volunteers at 434.851-2598.
