Hitch-Hiker was a repeat offender trying to ride the school bus with the children. Guess she really wanted to further her education. At the pound Hitch Hiker has been appointed our office manager. She inspects the donations brought in and tells the ACOs when they've missed a spot cleaning. "Hitch" also wears her pink cowboy hat to show that she supports all the fighters and survivors of breast cancer. The policy for adoption requires that you live in Lynchburg City, Campbell County, or a county touching Campbell County, if the cat has not yet been sterilized. If you live outside this area, the cat must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens who are too young to be sterilized may be adopted out through a local rescue, Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
