Basset Hound (short coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Medium Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Transferred to BROOD Rescue 2/20/14.
Liza is spayed, housetrained, super good with other dogs, about six to eight years old! Yes, she is a sweetheart of a basset hound!
UPDATE 10/6/13: Liza was diagnosed with heartworms. It seems she had not seen a vet since her adoption from a humane society in Maryland four years ago. Moreover, she was allowed to roam the neighborhood during the day when the family was not at home. Unfortunately, heartworms caught up with her. Because of her wonderful personality, we want to sponsor her heartworm treatment so she can find a most awesome home. Her first treatment is Monday.
UPDATE 10/25/13: From her foster mom: "She had just had some good ear massage and needed to sleep it off. She loves everyone and wants a lot of attention in return. If you are reading or on computer she will tell you , sometimes loudly, how your priorities are all messed up. Of course a little cuddle time or belly rubs fixes everything." She is doing well with her heartworm treatment.
UPDATE 11/15/13: She just completed heartworm treatment and had surgery to remove a tumor on her leg, which was more than likely malignant. We did not send to to a pathologist due to cost, but for now she is happy with life and wishes she could have a forever home.
