About Maple

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
Maple is now topping out at 17 pounds and would love a home where she will never know what it is like to be hungry again. She seems to like all other dogs she has met at the pound, is still a bit on the shy side with new people but we feel that she will easily overcome that in a short amount of time. Let us know if you are interested in opening your home and heart to Maple--she does not want to hunt, she does not want to be tied up and she does not want to spend her life in an outdoor kennel. She wants to be part of your family and she so deserves that! UPDATE 10/5/13: Cute little MAPLE SYRUP needs some loving! She was brought in to our care last night so we could transfer her to a fabulous rescue in New Jersey today, but MAPLE decided to come down with a fever just prior to travel and now she is convalescing with a foster family for a few days. She is precious! Because she feels pretty crummy, she isn't at all vocal and is also not one tad bit active. Hopefully that will change once she feels better! UPDATE 10/6/13: the little 17 pounder who missed her ride to NJ on Saturday because of a fever: Fever broke, and now MAPLE is eating again. Moreover, she is eating better than any of my other dogs! Does chicken breast and broth sound enticing? MAPLE also dearly loves having a dirty little stuffed toy next to her--maybe it brings back a memory of a lost puppy? This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. For an application to adopt, go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
