Himalayan (long coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
Smokey was abandoned in a small box late at night at the animal control facility. He was scared and alone when he was found so cramped in the box he could barely move his head. Attached to the box was a note that read, "Hi my name is Smokey, I am a purebred Himalayan cat that is fixed and declawed. My owners are not able to provide a good home for me right now. I love to cuddle and love lots of attention..." We've cut away the mats that surrounded this poor boys neck, guessed his age at 3-4 years old and gave him some love. Being declawed Smokey will need to be an indoor cat only for his safety.

As a note it is recommended that kittens under 12 weeks be adopted in pairs as they are very social creatures and need a friend or sibling to prevent behavior issues and loneliness.
To adopt this cat, please contact the Campbell County Animal Control Facility at 434-821-4416, or email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org. The policy for adoption requires that you live in Lynchburg City, Campbell County, or a county touching Campbell County, if the cat has not yet been sterilized. If you live outside this area, the cat must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens who are too young to be sterilized may be adopted out through a local rescue, Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
