Costello is 2 to 3 years old, and a purebred lab. He came as a stray from Abbott Labs. He is not good with other large intact male dogs, but was very interested in the two little black ones he met here at the shelter. Best guess is he has not had much time to play with other dogs and is still learning how to meet them. He is very good with people and is a favorite with the volunteers. Dogs and puppies who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
