Transferred to rescue 2/2014.
SCOOBY is an adorable guy that came in as a stray. SCOOBY is still waiting, and we don't understand why he has not been snapped right up into a home! He is about 34 pounds, and a year old, so should not grow any larger. He has the head and ear shape of a beagle, with a slightly wiry coat with "waves" attributable to a Rottweiler! Mini-Rottie, maybe?? He is not intimidating in the least and is good natured, easy-peasy when it comes to leash walking. He gets along famously with other dogs, too! Please come and meet this handsome man!
Dogs and puppies who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Please "like" us on FaceBook to see more of the available pets in care with our organization. Go to Friends of Campbell County Animal Control on Facebook.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
