Boxer / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
JOBIE was brought to us from the area near Peaks Slaughterhouse this week. He was terrified and his eyes begged for someone to love him. He is under a year old with natural ears and a badly docked tail. He is coming around with alot of attention from our volunteers. He has good social skills with other dogs as you will see in the video. (Jobie is the boxer mix in the video.)
Here us why we don't judge cats or dogs by their behavior in a cage or kennel run, but instead give each animal in custody individual time to bond and adjust. One of our volunteers broke through the fear that JOBIE was exhibiting, and gave the stray boxer the confidence he needed to open up and let someone love him. Today, one of our awesome ACOs spent time loving and hugging him, too.
Dogs and puppies who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Please "like" us on FaceBook to see more of the available pets in care with our organization. Go to Friends of Campbell County Animal Control on Facebook.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
