Samson is a stray from downtown Rustburg. He was having a high old time playing with the kids on the ball field, retrieving softballs and playing center field! Samson is about a year old, very sweet and gentle. Other folks have said they recognize him from his forays into the "city." If not reclaimed, he will be available for adoption soon. Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
