About Cooper

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
Cooper is about the cutest little mix of breed possibilities you an imagine! We have no clue what his DNA might show, but at six months, he has a slim body like a whippet, the head of a terrier, and the sweet perky-yet-flipped ears of a sheltie! He weighs a mere 18 pounds right now, and has long legs, big feet and a personality that is all about playtime. Great with other dogs of all sizes, he knows no fear and has remarkable social skills with other dogs, thanks to the large litter his foster mom cared for for so long. He has been raised with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is housetrained and cratetrained. He is definitely a puppy who can fit into just about any circumstances. UPDATE: What a trooper this boy COOPER has been! Watching for months as his eight siblings and playmates were adopted out one by one, only stinkin' cute COOPER boy is left with no furever home to call his own. Mind you, he is spoiled absolutely ROTTEN in his foster home, and he sure knows how to work the family and other dogs there, but there is something so very special about being a forever dog, holding that place in someone's heart, that even a foster mom can't top. Our wish (as well as COOPER's) is that a family with another nice dog and some sweet kids will recognize his talent at loving unconditionally, and will believe him when he says he is a lap dog, a sweet, gentle companion who has only kisses and hugs to share with his bestie, whoever it might be. Eighteen pounds, long legged and six months old. P-E-R-F-E-C-T!! Don't miss out on this awesome boy!! UPDATE from Foster Mom 9/4/14: "Cooper - He's just perfect ?" For those interested in adoption: If you live outside this area, the adopter must have a vet reference which shows that all other pets have annual exams, HW testing and are spay/neutered. No exceptions. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242.
