About Polly

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
6/30/14 Transferred to LHS. Meet Polly! A walker hound whose puppies have found homes, but who has been at the CCAC facility for over a month now awaiting a magical moment where someone sees her possibilities as a devoted friend, and will come and adopt her. We try so hard to place our hounds! The shy ones just don't get much chance around here. POLLY is deathly afraid of most things, but has several volunteers who love and adore her and who spend extra time loving her. When you've rarely been touched in your early life, you don't always accept such loving, but POLLY eats it up! When "her" chosen friends come to visit, she sits at her kennel gate, soulfully watching for them to come to HER kennel run for loving! Come meet this beautiful 2 year old! Can you see past her scared look and see into her heart, where a loving companion is waiting? The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
