SAM was signed over to the shelter. A victim of a Craigslist posting, he lasted a few weeks in his most recent family's home before he went after their cats and they couldn't handle it any longer. Sam seems to like other dogs just fine, is housetrained, and is good with kids. He is eighteen months old. This Shar Pei mix needs a home fast! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
