Marshmallow is a sweet, gentle, yet big girl! Weighing in at close to 35 lbs at 4 months old, we think this girl will be on the larger side. She came to the CCAC facility with her sister, Cadbury, as a very shy girl. After 3 days of socializing and loving on her, she is beginning to come out of her shell! Marshmallow enjoys being held in your lap, giving kisses and getting belly rubs. She is slowly learning about a collar and leash walking. We are thinking Shar Pei mix. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
