9/26/14- transferred to HSCC. Hope is a shepherdy-hound girl of about 30 pounds, about one to two years old, who is soaking up love, attention, and affection from our devoted volunteer who specializes in helping shy dogs. HOPE saw a vet last week and was started on her skin-improvement program. She has quickly become a favorite at the shelter. Please come meet this precious, very shy lady today. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday.
