We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

9/26/14- transferred to HSCC. Jinx came in as a stray and loaded with ticks. Our volunteers quickly got on that situation and she feels so much better now. She is a rat terrier/acd mix, about one to two years old and weighs 25 lbs. She is a bit shy but again our volunteers are working on earning her trust. She is fine with other dogs though. Please come meet this wonderful dog today because due to the shelter being beyond full, she is now URGENT! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
