Friends of Campbell County Animal Control

Located in Campbell County, Virginia. Please begin with an application, found here: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We place calls to your vet, your landlord, and your personal reference. We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

10/29/14 Transferred to LHS. Digger came in as a stray. He is 16 to 17 pounds, a short -legged little fella, not neutered, and definitely in danger because he is the longest held dog at the facility. He is four to five years old, and keeps his kennel run as clean as possible, considering he shares it with another beagle. He enjoys getting out in the playyard and we can hear his Wooooooo far away. He loves his snuggles and belly rubs from our volunteers. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
