About Brody

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
BRODY is a one to two year old Belgian Sheepdog Shepherd mix. Delivered to the shelter and needing to go home! One year old, vaccinated for distemper/parvo and bordetella, wormed: all he needs is rabies and a neuter! Housetrained, and loves to ride! UPDATE: BRODY needs a home. He also needs a bath, as he is stinky. We think BRODY was an indoor pet who was relegated to the outdoors when his family changed. He adores being inside. He gives a paw, then the other paw, and sits reliably. He also does a "down" with luring. He is this volunteer's favorite, even though we aren't allowed to have favorites! Breed? Belgian Sheepdog is our guess. One year old, housetrained, shows typical herding behavior and play style of the breed. He is a bit standoffish with other dogs, but tolerates them. He is the play police ... observing and not wanting play to get out of hand! The typical German Shepherd style. .. but he can run and play by himself and have a great time doing it. No idea about cats, but he seems to ignore the ones in the cage in the lobby. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org. A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED TO ADOPT.
