November 2014 transferred to Lab Rescue in DC. Meet Marley! One year old, yellow lab mix who urgently needs a new home because his family has hit some personal family medical issues and needs to rehome. He loves belly rubs and would love a large area to run after squirrels and tennis balls! He is good with other dogs and a kid or two would be great, as he has the typical labrador retriever "pet me, pet me" attitude. About 65 pounds of love wrapped up in a yellow and white tipped coat. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
