We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

Meet SAMMY who appears to be a wonderful yellow lab, and is about a year old. He was found on Long Island Road. He is super friendly and will be ready for a new home if not reclaimed. He needs to stay in our care for 10 days since he came in with a collar. Please come meet him today and fill out an application so you will be ready to adopt as soon as he becomes available. UPDATE 12/18/14: SAMMY enjoyed his time out in the play yard on Wednesday afternoon! SAMMY loves children, and we discovered he can do a pretty mean sit and shake! He is good with other dogs but is a bit too interested in cats. He also tries to keep his kennel run clean. He loves to fetch toys and especially loves stuffed ones. He will carry one all around the large field where the volunteers take him walking carrying his prize so proudly. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
