About Diamond: fostered

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Brown/Chocolate
2/24/15 Transferred to rescue in New Jersey! Diamond came in with her brother, Shivers on 1/12. She is very friendly and weighs 30 pounds. She is working hard on crate training. This brother and sister are so fortunate that they were immediately taken into foster care because the shelter was full. It literally saved their lives. Please fill out an application today for Diamond because she is available to adopt right now! ADOPTION GUIDELINES: Virginia’s Code requires that any unsterilized pets adopted from the Campbell County Animal Shelter may be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and have the pet spayed/neutered within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Puppies or kittens in care at the shelter too young to be spayed/neutered before adoption may often be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. There is an adoption fee required for this process. We ask that you have a veterinarian on record who can verify that your other pets were well-cared for. Pets identified as being “fostered” are available for a fee. Fees range from $50 to $300. Fostered pets are not at the Campbell County Shelter and the animal wardens may not be familiar with those pets. An Adoption Application, available at the Campbell County Shelter, or online at our website www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org, is required prior to adoption. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242.
