Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) : : Female : : Baby : : Medium
How adorable is Virginia Belle? She is about six weeks old and has a beautiful blue brindle coat. She enjoyed being loved on by all the volunteers and ACOs and is one of the fortunate ones to be taken right into foster care. The shelter is no place for one that young. She will be ready to adopt in few more weeks when she gets a bit older so fill out your application now so you will be ready when she is!
UPDATE 1/18/15: VIRGINIA BELLE is an early riser! She is learning social skills from her foster canine auntie, playskills from her foster sibling litter, and computer skills from her canine uncle Chip! She is about six weeks to seven weeks old, and we laughingly refer to her as a "dilute calico" pibble puppy!
This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242.
APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ADOPT. Go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org
The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.

Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
