Zeppelin had a chance to interact with the “zoomie queen” of the Campbell County Shelter on Sunday, and quite frankly, she left his head spinning by the end of their second play session.

Her twists and turns, her artful dodging, her coy “butt in your face? Haha, just kidding!” flirtatious maneuvers were all a ploy to get this handsome hunk of German Shepherd to notice playful half-his-size Zoey!

Her carefully laid out plan worked well, almost too well, in fact, because with most of the afternoon playtime still looming ahead, both dogs called a truce, and demanded a too-hot-to-keep-playing end to the session.

The shade of the dog shed whispered a welcome to them, and both called it quits, throwing themselves into the red dirt of the overhang, and wishing for the cool concrete shelter floor once more.

Proof positive: Zepplin is a well mannered typical German Shepherd who wants to be the sheriff, but on occasion will throw in a little fun just to show he is all dog!

PS: he is not excited about cats inside the house, but outside would probably want to give chase and say “Game On!”

Zeppelin is the kind of dog that makes walks feel like a team sport. He’s easy on the leash and has a sweet habit of checking back with you as you go — like he’s making sure you’re enjoying the stroll too. He’s got a playful spirit, but he keeps it polite. No roughhousing, just happy energy. He’s already mastered housetraining and knows “sit,” so he’s ready to slide right into your routine. If you want a companion who’s equal parts fun and well-mannered, consider adding Zeppelin to the fold.
