“I’m Pumpkin Spice Latte, and I’m an FIV positive cat. After a neighbor turned me out and left me loose outside, another kind person brought me to the shelter where my status as a friendly ‘chonky’ boy was elevated, since I was already neutered. When you’re this handsome, coming in already neutered means the world to the people who work at the shelter! All I needed was a rabies shot, and that all important FELVFIV testing, and then I could go to Petsmart and find a home! Well, that was the plan…until the results of the SNAP test showed that even though I don’t look sick, my status as an FIV positive cat means I won’t go to the cat adoption center. I am fine with other cats, and I truly adore humans! What do you think? Want to take me home! I am so handsome! Start with an application, please!” FIV is not a death sentence for a cat. FIV means that when cats get sick, it will be a little harder for them to get better. This boy has been healthy since he’s been at the shelter! Find an application here: friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
