Uri’s people brought him to the shelter and signed him over on Monday. He is about five years old and wandered up to their home as a stray in Rustburg several months ago. Uri is now neutered, fully vetted, and microchipped. He did not fit in well with the other dogs in the home who are bigger than he, so is now a pound hound.

We are told he has an easygoing hound personality; Ignores livestock, chickens, and cats — a true gentleman, who loves car rides and is learning how to play nicely with other dogs.

Uri likely spent most of his life on a tie-out, and is enjoying life as a “free” dog.
If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who just needs a chance, Uri is your guy.
