Louie is one of the shelter favorites, and it’s easy to see why. This handsome boy came to us from a home where the other dogs didn’t appreciate him the way they should have, and now he’s soaking up all the love and attention he deserves.

At about 60 pounds, Louie is the perfect size for someone looking for a loyal and protective companion. He is housetrained, friendly with almost every dog he’s met, and has a heart as big as his smile. Affectionate, gentle, and always ready for love, Louie is more than ready to find his forever family.

Louie was recently neutered and is receiving treatment for a tick-borne disease, but he’s handling it all like a champ. Despite these bumps in the road, his sweet nature shines through, and he continues to thrive under care.

He has done well with most dogs, though we have not yet tested him with cats. For this reason, we recommend a cat-free home unless specific testing can be requested.
