Meet Buddy, a sweet soul residing at the local foster home with two other dogs. . His gentle nature makes him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a cuddly and friendly pet. Buddy has a knack for making everyone around him feel at ease with his sweet demeanor and loving presence. He's the ideal pet for a family or individual looking for a loyal friend to share life's moments with. Adopting Buddy means gaining a forever friend who will always be there to offer comfort and joy.
Update: Buddy Love’s FHO surgery went well! Today he is back in his first foster home, where he is able to slowly use the steps to get in and out, and is strengthening his leg through regular activity. ( Although he was fine with the cats in his temporary foster home, the cats were not fine with him.) Buddy is about seven years old, and should have a wonderful outcome in life now that the surgery has been done. Please consider adding him to your home because he is so deserving of every bit of life he can get! Original listing: “BUDDY LOVE” is looking for a new home! He has the most soulful face and eyes, and he really lights up when a volunteer gets there to take him out to walk. He is still favoring his left rear leg after injuring it at his home, (trying to escape from a fenced area to get away from gunshots that frightened him). Buddy would love to be doted- upon, loved by older children, and given a nice retirement home somewhere.he is nonreactive to cats and other dogs, and it’s just pretty laid-back all around. He is about 70 pounds. He will be updated this week with vaccines, and imagine how gorgeous he will be when he is groomed! **An x-ray exam has revealed that he has hip dysplasia in his left leg, as well as luxating patellas in both his legs. The vet said the knee issue Is something he has probably always lived with and manages on his own. But she recommends surgery for the hip dysplasia and we are working on scheduling that now. It will involve FHO, and make him feel so much better! PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
