“My Home to Yours”

This is Dre, a two-year-old chocolate lab that we are told is neutered, and current with vaccines. Dre’s family is hoping to find him a new home because they feel he is not getting enough attention or exercise due to their schedule. Dre is cratetrained, and house trained, and has been around a toddler 2 to 4 years old. He has not interacted with cats, but his mom says he has seen them from a distance and has not reacted. We have not met Dre, and are sharing the information given to us by his family.  Although we have not met him, we appreciate very much of his family is allowing us to share his need for a home and does not feel he needs to come to the shelter. We welcome applications that we will send on to his family so they can decide if it will be a good match for him, and we are so glad we can keep an open space at our shelter because of families willing to do this. Here’s some additional information his family shared with us: “he loved to swim and take walks and play with balls he loves other dogs and people he’s a big baby he’s 2 years old he loves carrots not really bones loves to be brushed.”

We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
