Dobby came to us with a broken leg, and because he was gentle, young, and so handsome, we opted to have him checked out ASAP by the animal emergency clinic. They felt that the best option for his mangled limb was to amputate immediately, since it was evident that infection had already set in. Whatever the reason for the trauma, he came out of surgery looking great, and went on to a foster home for care after his surgery. He is hanging out there, learning to adapt to new sounds of the household, and he has come away with three legs as if he has no clue he is different. He can move quickly if he wants, can jump and run, and use the litterbox dependably. If you are looking for inspiration due to a disability of your own, perhaps Dobby can be your source!
