Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large Midnight: At shelter needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Midnight feels great! Last week he want to the vet for a neuter, heartworm test, microchip, and a rabies shot. While he remains mellow, we discovered that he was positive for two tickborne diseases, ehrlichia and Lyme, and needed doxycycline to treat the symptoms. Best news of all is that after only a few days of the 28-day treatment, Midnight's personality is showing, and he is feeling GOOD! It's so important that dogs be tested yearly for both heartworms and tick-borne diseases! He is lovely with other dogs as well as with children of all ages and every adult he has met. (According to his previous humans, he is not good with cats.) Midnight weighs about 65 pounds, is five years old, and is beautifully housetrained. He walks easily on a leash, and really loves having time outside where he can just relax and rest in the grass. Despite his love of the outdoors, he is considered an indoor dog, and a fenced-in yard would be absolutely wonderful for him. Are you ready for a steady, sturdy friend? Go to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org, and fill out an application. We would love to see him adopted very soon. A dog this beautiful is too wonderful to pass up!
