Update: Scared at the shelter, but happy and outgoing once he is in the safety of humans and familiar territory! Frito and his buddy Burrito, who may be his dad, but maybe an older brother, were found wandering in a rural portion of the county well over a week ago. Because they are flighty and truly escape artists, we feel it would be extremely important for their new family, whoever it might be, to have a securely fenced yard, and older children, if any children, in order to keep them safe from a door being opened accidentally. They truly think an open door means you need to run! We don't think they need to be adopted together, but if you can handle it, it might be very entertaining. For now, they are on stray hold, and not available for you to handle or pet. *******

Can't get much cuter than this little man, who was brought to the shelter as a stray along with a family member, possibly his son.  Burrito loves to be snuggled and held on a warm lap and thinks all is good when he can view it from a higher position. Physically, he's in rough condition, with yeasty skin, fleas, and what appear to be hives all over his little body. He is eating well, and is friendly with us, but of course, nervous around the many big noisy dogs in residence at the shelter. He's already a favorite with the small dog fans who volunteer!
