Shy initially, but this sweetheart responds well to humans who give him attention when the initial shock of newness has worn off. Most likely Beda's experiences with new people have been limited, but that won't stop him from making friends with people who are willing to move slowly and give him the space he needs! What a joy he is! We gave him a couple days to decompress before handling him, and were pleasantly surprised to discover he has a glossy clean coat, and responded well to stroking and petting. So once again, it's the scary shelter that makes thing so difficult for a shy dog, rather than the past experiences! Please consider adoption! He is a love!
