Dixie Chick This sweet girl loves squeaky balls and digging in her sandbox. She will did on command wherever you point, it’s actually amazing how smart she is. She would love a fenced in yard like she is use to at her foster home, with trees, so she can watch the squirrels. She is meticulously house trained. She will go to the door or bark at you to let her out to potty. She loves to be with her people, if you’re not outside, she doesn’t want to be. She currently has her own room, sleeps on the couch or her dog bed, all night. She doesn’t bother anything in the room. She is just the most perfect girl

You can’t find a dog more devoted than Dixie! After being seized by animal control way back in December from her life as an emaciated puppy-maker, she has forgotten her past life and is ready to move on! She has been through so much that it is pretty amazing that she doesn’t hold a grudge against humans in general. Her perfect home: older folks who are home quite a bit, and no other dogs  We are searching for a family who is settled in and who appreciates a gentle girl. Dixie  is lovely with children and respectful grandchildren coming to visit would be lovely! Are you ready?  She raised her litters in unfavorable circumstances, and went through her own private hell. Now her foster mom treats her like royalty, cooking for her and catering to her every need. If you’d like to be her family and help her forget her past, please apply to adopt.
