Our sweet Lulu is truly a sweetheart! She loves hanging out with the children in her current foster home, but still lacks having the word ADOPTED! attached to her title. Can you help us make that happen?

UPDATE 6/20: LuLu has really come into her own. She is such a happy girl and has learned to walk much more easily on leash.  She loves to run and will go after a ball (but hasn't figured out how much more fun it is return it to the hands that are tossing it!)  She would love a home where she gets to play and get loving. We love getting updates from her foster family now that she has a foster home with kids to play with, because she loves snuggling with them as they watch their videos, and is even sharing the bunk bed with them.  She is pretty devoted to children, and we are guessing she had a home with children in her previous life. She has been taking apoquel daily for her skin flareups, and the doctor tells us it is most likely from seasonal allergies.  She is beautifully housetrained and has proven to be good with other dogs, as well as children.  Are you ready for some LuLu love?

Original post: So cute! This is LuLu! 3 years old. LuLu has become a “shelter favorite,” joining ALL the dogs at the shelter on that list! LuLu has not had a great life, but has already put the past behind her and is looking ahead to a life of clean living, vet care, and a loving family. She is trying so hard to be house trained, but it always takes a few days to figure out the schedule at the shelter and to know that yes, volunteers will be coming to take you out, but in the meantime it’s OK to potty outside in your outside kennel run. So many dogs are just so fastidious they do not want to do that. We always assure them: it is fine! Lulu is about 33 pounds, and we think she might be a beagle/jack Russell mix! What a sweetheart she is! Yes we need to get that inflamed skin cleared up so she is already taking antibiotics to help that. And she will soon be given soothing baths, though it is pretty cold to do that at the shelter. (We are anxious to get all of our dogs checked out by vets, but are limited by time and human resources.) Lulu and her friend who is not a relative, Rogue, were signed over last week, and have made a wonderful transition to being shelter dogs. We would love for you to meet them, spend time with them, and adopt. Applications are found here: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
