Eight year old CAM was signed over because of his breed mix, and for no other reason. We are finding dogs are being abandoned, rehomed, and signed over to shelters as part of the backlash of the Pandemic. With housing changes, landlords are raising rent, adding breed restrictions, and limiting the weight limit of pets in their units. Cam doesn’t know he is a pitbull, but acts like a pug. He is delightful! We are told he has had no experience with other dogs or cats, and feel he is probably terribly overwhelmed with the over-full shelter. We would love for him to find a new human to love him quickly. (He has had no vet care, and will need everything—vaccines, rabies shot, HW test, neuter.)
