UPDATE 1/4: Fancy must remain “quiet” for only two more weeks—and then she can celebrate by cutting loose and running her heart out. She is three years old, and was heartworm positive when she arrived at the shelter several months ago. thanks to her foster mom, she has been able to be confined and treated for the Heartworms, and is ready to enjoy a new life lots of adventures ahead of her. She is excellent with other dogs, and nonchalant around cats if you can imagine that! Fancy would love to have a new home. She is under 50 pounds, and fits into any group of dogs. - - -

My name is Fancy! I love everyone I meet, from other dogs to humans, and am even fine with cats. I was a stray, so the shelter folks had no background on me, but there were sure happy to see me, since I needed some extra loving due to my skinny build, skin infection and heartworm positive status. Not to worry--it's being treated and I'm feeling SO much better now! Lots of medicine and good food has done wonders for me! I have had my first heartworm treatment, and I am recovering nicely in my foster home. I will have a second treatment in just a couple weeks, and then we’ll be ready to take home and be your beloved dog! I get along so well with other fun dogs!
