Sweet but shy, Nerissa would prefer not having anyone even notice that she exists. She is determined not to enjoy petting or stroking, and has made it clear to her foster mom that black blends in very nicely with a dark corner, which is where she prefers to spend her time.  While she tolerates handling, she does not like it, and she truly does not want to be picked up. Are there any cat lovers out there who want to help her become more social over the course of time? She needs you! But she would be ever so happy in a barn, and away from any humans.
