Labrador Retriever / Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed (long coat) : : Male : : Adult Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
Chase is one of the easiest foster dogs we have had in our care. He is well-adjusted, happy, and a perfect houseguest, according to his foster mom. He's housetrained, great with cats and female dogs, but less accepting of male dogs. We are wanting a home for him where he can be active, have a fenced area to hang out in, and where he will not be left alone for hours upon hours daily. He is appropriately social with the humans he meets when his foster takes him walking around the neighborhood on leash, has no issues with either men or women, and would probably be absolutely fine with children. He is a true Southern gentleman, polite and mannerly in the house, with good social skills. His foster mom says he has not shown any need to be crated, but his trip to the groomer a few weeks ago was enlightening, in that he went straight into the “waiting for his turn” crate as if he had always done so. He is cut short now for his photos, but he does have a long, fluffy poodle coat that is gorgeous when it grows out. We are familiar with his history, and know that his previous person cared deeply about him. The groomer who cared for him sang his praises as well, telling us how much she enjoyed bating and grooming him. Those interested in adopting need to be prepared for regular home grooming as well as professional grooming on a regular basis. Chase has not yet been neutered; we are hoping to schedule that the first week of October.
