10 years old (or older) Charlie join d our FOAC foster dogs on Saturday. Charlie’s parents were no longer able to care for him due to health issues, and he was sadly signed over to the shelter, as we ask adopters to do when they can no longer care for them. Charlie is an amazing happy boy, but very upset being back at the shelter and not with a human. His foster mom picked him up yesterday afternoon and we saw such a sense of relief in his bearing as he settled into his foster home last night. Here is what she wrote: “Charlie is settling in nicely, very big day for him. He loves the fenced in yard, and ate all his supper like a gentleman. Great car rider, and is so mellow and friendly with the other pets. Charlie is a senior terrier mix, 23lbs, neutered, utd on vaccines and Heartworm negative. Shows his age with arthritic hind gait. Possible lower spine issues. Manners are impeccable! Knows and carries out basic commands, accompanied by a happily wagging tail. Completely housebroken and a delight to walk on a leash. Charlie is available for adoption. A low key home would be ideal.” Find an application to adopt by going here: friendsofcampbellcounty.org. - - - Charlie is a senior terrier mix with a sad story to tell. His family’s failing health meant they could no longer care for him. We can see he was well-loved! We ask adopters to bring back their adopted pets to us so we can find them new homes, if they can no longer care for them. We look forward to getting to know Charlie, figuring out what he needs, and helping him find a new household!
